New York Daily News ran with a front cover today linking Trayvon Martin, the unarmed teenager shot by George Zimmerman, to other victims of racial hate crimes following not guilty of second-degree murder verdict for Zimmerman on Saturday.

Martin’s name is read alongside Emmitt Till, Willie Edwards, James Chaney, Michael Donald, Michael Griffith, Yusef Hawkins and James Byrd Jr, with a picture of an empty hooded sweater and a headline asking: 'When will it end?'

The inflammatory cover comes as protests continue to rage across the US, with many outraged at Zimmerman's acquittal.

President Obama gave a statement on Sunday, asking for a "calm reflection” on the verdict.

"We are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken," he said.
