Ford, Amazon, Subway and Cheerios top BrandIndex’s US 'Buzz' list
Ford has been the most talked about brand in the US of 2013 so far, according to BrandIndex’s bi-annual survey.
The survey involves 20,000 people each week and measures a brand’s “buzz”, which includes anything positive or negative a person has heard about the brand.
Up from sixth place in the 2012 rankings, Ford’s top place was earned thanks to a successful start to the financial year and the launch of two “And Is Better” spots to promote its Ford Focus and Ford Fusion ranges.
Amazon was second on the list, followed by Subway and The History Channel.
Lowe’s and V8 completed the Top 5.
The seventh most “buzzed” brand was Walgreens, with YouTube in eighth and Kindle and Cheerios in ninth and tenth respectively.
Cheerios gained a lot of media attention this year for its “Just Checking” spot, which featured a mixed-race family.
