MacMillan Cancer Care has appointed marketing agency Futureproof to drive a awareness to a new audience for the charity through online channels.

Futureproof's Charity Unit is set to work with the product innovation team at Macmillan in order to generate donations to the charity in order to improve cancer care and expand its product portfolio through digital marketing.

Lizzie Penny, director of brand management at Futureproof, commented: "Our charity specific thought leadership publications and workshops are revolutionising marketing effectiveness, helping charities to operate in a tough economic climate without compromising client ambitions."

The agency has also begun to run a free Social Giving Workshop for the charity sector which, alongside Macmillan, has so far worked with Children in Need, Guide Dogs, Scope and Catholic aid agency CAFOD.
