Troll dolls set for re-release as Zelfs to avoid association with online bullies
Troll dolls are set for another re-release, only featuring a new name in order to avoid confusion with the name associated to those who leave angry comments online.
The Sun reports this morning that the toy line will be reintroduced this Christmas with a new design, and the new name, Zelfs.
The plastic toys, which featured a long flick of hair on top, were originally created in 1959 and were a huge hit with families in the 1960s, before seeing revivals in both the 70s and 90s.
Another attempted relaunch was rolled out in the mid 2000s, under the new name Trollz, but failed to find an audience.
