Heinz looks to promote ‘summer sauces’ in new campaign

Heinz has unveiled a new campaign to promote its range of sauces as the weather heats up, including Heinz Tomato Ketchup, Heinz Salad Cream, Heinz Barbecue Sauce and Heinz Mayonnaise.

The campaign will include sampling, digital activation and in-store promotion, and focusses on promoting sales of the sauces for barbeques and other summer feasts.

Ian McCarthy, marketing controller for Heinz Sauces, said: “We’ve seen the first glimpse of sunshine, so barbecue season isn’t far behind. Our summer sauces campaign is designed to encourage convenience stores to get ahead of the game and start stocking up on the seasonal essentials now.

“It’s not just about getting the meats fully stocked, they need to provide everything consumers want for a classic barbecue. Heinz Sauces are an integral addition and with Heinz shoppers spending nearly double the amount of average convenience customers, our sauces really are a key summer sales driver.”

To promote the brand, Heinz sauces will also be placed next to popular barbecue meats or bread to encourage cross-selling opportunities.
