Emirates names BBDO NY and Atmosphere Proximity as lead marketing agencies

Following a competitive review, involving agencies including Grey, DDB and JW, Emirates has named BBDO New York and Atmosphere Proximity as its integrated marketing agency partners in North America, with first work expected to break late summer.

“Emirates has set ambitious goals for its business in North America for 2013 and beyond,” said Chris Galanto, senior vice president advertising, Emirates.

“To achieve these goals will require even more scale, more precision and more strategic creativity. Atmosphere Proximity has handled digital and social responsibilities for us for nearly eight years and has proven to be an invaluable partner. Adding the creative firepower of BBDO New York will help take our North America marketing efforts to a whole new level.”

Effective from 1 August the two agencies, both part of the Omnicom Group, have been tasked with creating an integrated marketing campaign including advertising, digital and social media activities.
