The Beans Group has begun its research into young people’s top brands for 2013, after YouTube, Google, Cadbury, Amazon and the BBC were voted amongst the top 10 last year.

The group is currently at the long-list stage of the process, creating a long-list of brands visibly relevant to the everyday lives of the 18-24-year-old audience, with suggestions made through The Beans Group’s Twitter feed and various other channels.

The list is then cut down to 220, with winners to be announced at an exclusive ceremony event in October.

As well as being ranked overall, brands are awarded placings by category.
