Broadcaster UTV has promoted Morgane Campioni to the role of head of online channels as it looks to drive multiplatform content output.

Campioni, who was formerly executive producer of online channels, will be responsible for managing all UTV Television’s digital content services.

The Northern Ireland-based broadcaster claims website traffic has more than doubled in the last year, taking the total to over 50,000 daily unique visitors and generating over 9m monthly page impressions.

UTV managing director Michael Wilson said the broadcaster has seen “massive” growth to its non-broadcast digital audiences.

“In the last year, Morgane has been responsible for managing the complete revamp of the main u.tv website, the introduction of a new mobile site and two new apps, all with an increased focus on maximising UTV’s ability to deliver high quality video content on all platforms.

"As a result of these developments we have seen massive growth in our digital audiences and Morgane and her team have been hugely instrumental in developing new opportunities for UTV to interact with its audience, including the recent integration of ITV network content online for the Northern Ireland audience,” he said.

Prior to joining UTV in 2008 Campioni held several senior roles at French media organisations, including i Télé and Radio France Internationale.
