McVitie’s and recycling experts TerraCycle have joined forces to launch ‘The Biscuit Wrapper Roundup Collection Contest’, encouraging people to collect and save biscuit wrappers in order to win a share of a combined 100,000 TerraCyle points (£1,000) worth of prizes.

Joined together in partnership in June 2012, McVitie’s and TerraCycle promote the recycling of all used biscuit wrappers, which are often sent to landfills, through their McVitie’s Biscuit Wrapper Brigade scheme. The Collection Contest sees all active McVitie’s Biscuit Wrapper Brigade locations automatically entered, with the top twenty collectors winning contributions of £250, £150, £50, or £20 for their chosen school, charity or non-profit organisation at the end of the competition.

The Grand Prize winning location and First Runner Up will also get their hands on a hamper full of McVitie’s biscuits.

To enter the contest those interested can join the McVitie’s Biscuit Wrapper Brigade via the TerraCycle website where Freepost labels can be downloaded in order to send shipments of used biscuit wrappers. Regular Top Ten Leader Leaderboard and Facebook updates will be made throughout the competition which runs from now until Monday 8 October.
