After trialling the use of emoticons and tags for posts with a small group of American users, the use of the tags has been rolled out to more users in the US.

According to TechCrunch, the tagging system will allow users to say what they are watching, reading, or listening to, creating a link to the official page for the product in question.

A pop-up from Facebook informs users that details added could appear on their ‘about’ page, as well as on other pages on Facebook.

For those who have the feature, it can be found by clicking on the smiley face icon beside the location at the bottom of the post box.
