M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment promotes Dave Roberts to deputy managing director

Creative communications agency and sponsorship specialist M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment has revealed that Dave Roberts, current head of entertainment, has been promoted to the role of deputy managing director.

Roberts will continue to oversee the Entertainment business at the agency but will also now be tasked with developing the agency’s creative and production capabilities as well as working closely with new sister-agency, M&C Saatchi Merlin.

“Dave's contribution in the five years he has been with us has been vital to the continued growth of our business. His skillset and experience put him in a unique position to help us move the agency forwards strategically and creatively. At a time when M&C Saatchi Merlin join the Sport & Entertainment Group, he'll also be central to looking at new revenue streams and business models,” said CEO Steve Martin of the appointment.

In his career Roberts has held the role of engagement planning director at BBH, and before that headed up O2’s music activity at content specialist, Drum PHD.
