Samsung has launched a social media campaign at SXSW which gives tweeters the chance to pick up a hand delivered battery for their Galaxy SIII or Galaxy Note II simply by tweeting the Korean tech giant with the hashtag #PowerOn.

The offer was made by Samsung’s US mobile division to all delegates at the SXSW event in Austin, Texas from 12-9pm on the 16 March.

Anyone who does so within the allotted hours will just have to linger for around 15 minutes for a courier to show up and swap batteries with any delegates who’ve ran out of juice.

The move follows confirmation that pop star Prince has been recruited by the tech giant to perform at SXSW on the same day accompanied by a 22-piece live band.
