Interbrand’s global chief strategy officer Leslie Butterfield relocates to China

Brand consultancy Interbrand has announced that Leslie Butterfield, it global chief strategy officer, is to relocate to Shanghai, China.

Butterfield will be continuing in his role as global chief strategy officer but his new location will allow him to partner closely with Interbrand’s CEO in the Asia-Pacific region, Stuart Green. Together Butterfield and Green will aim to meet the changing needs of the rapidly evolving Asian markets as well as pursuing new relationships with ambitious and progressive brands across the region.

“These are exciting times for brands and brand consultancies in China and Interbrand is increasing its decade-long investment in the region by relocating its most senior strategy executive to this fast-moving market,” said Jez Frampton, Interbrand’s Global CEO. “Leslie is a globally recognized leader in the industry and we are eager for him to apply his nearly 30 years of experience in building some of the world's biggest and best brands to the region.”

Since joining Interbrand in 2008 Butterfield oversees the quality and development of Interbrand’s strategic products and methodologies, as Dean of the Interbrand Academy he also plays a leading role in the professional development of the firm’s staff.

This is a great opportunity for me to apply my skills, and my passion for the quality of our product, to a new set of brand challenges – in some of the most exciting markets in the world.”
