After discovering that unflushed and overflowing toilets are the ‘most horrifying’ things that people can find when camping, the Camping and Caravanning Club has unveiled a new campaign guaranteeing clean washrooms.

Under the new campaign, created by McCann Birmingham, campers who aren’t happy with the cleanliness of a Club Site’s washroom facilities can make a complaint to site staff and if it can’t be resolved within a two hour timeframe will be recompensed with a free night.

The campaign is being supported by How Clean Is You House presenter Kim Woodburn, who said: “As you will know, cleanliness is of prime importance to me so you can only image my trepidation when asked to take a look at some campsite toilets!

“I would urge any holidaymakers who are initially scared by the thought of ‘toilet terror’ to try pitching up at a Camping and Caravanning Club Site – they’ll definitely put your mind at ease.”

Five by Five handled the digital content for the campaign, while MediaCom was in charge of media buying.
