glue Isobar appoints AKQA’s Nick Bailey as executive creative director

glue Isobar has today announced the appointment of Nick Bailey as executive creative director, following a six-month international hunt.

Bailey, who joins from the role of ECD at AKQA, said: "I’m delighted to be joining an agency that boasts not only a robust creative heritage, but also one that is uniquely positioned to deliver future success thanks to a team of truly world-class leaders representing the best from every corner of the industry. I’m looking forward to working with them to help make that future happen."

In his new role, he will oversee the entire creative output and be part of the UK executive team, reporting to UK CEO Penny Herriman.

Herriman said: "We’re really excited to have someone of Nick’s calibre on board. He is a huge talent and completes a strong senior line-up that will help shape the future direction of the agency, while continuing to deliver ground-breaking work for our clients businesses.”

While at AKQA, Bailey worked in both Amsterdam and London, leading the creative department in The Netherlands and overseeing the winning pitches for Johnnie Walker, Philips, EA Sports, Tommy Hilfiger and MINI.
