British holiday operator Haven has called upon media planning and buying agency Arena Media to launch its first outdoor advertising campaign.

Aimed at families and mums during the key holiday booking season, the campaign creative will go live throughout the UK this week.

“January is an incredibly busy time for us, and it was imperative that we got our message out early in the year, without it becoming diluted in the cluttered January advertising space,” commented Kirsty Allford, media marketing manager at Haven.

Targeted six-sheets on high streets and media placed near schools and supermarkets will target parents as they go about their busy day to day lives. QR codes have also been added to the work in order to improve engagement and provide the holidaymaker with additional information about potential customers.

Allford continued: “By going down a new route, and bringing in an outdoor element to our campaigns, we will stand out from our competitors and extend our reach to new audiences.”

The outdoor initiative forms the centerpiece of a wider integrated campaign by Arena Media, including press, digital, and supporting social activity.

Arena Media’s group business director, Nicola Harvey, added: “This campaign is all about being in the right place at the right time. It will bring the Haven brand to front of mind at this crucial time of year, whether parents are on the school run, in the supermarket, or on their way to work.”
