Europcar picks MediaVest to manage global digital account

Global car hire firm Europcar has picked MediaVest to run its global digital account as it looks to strengthen its digital presence abroad.

MediaVest, which already handles the brand’s UK digital media account, is understood to have won the pitch against competition from agencies including Aegis, Netbooster and OneNet.

The win will see MediaVest run paid search and display activity in Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, New Zealand, and Spain.

Activity will include running dynamic targeting for Europcar from MediaVest’s London hub, which will also be responsible for planning and implementing paid search and display marketing within the Spain, Italy, Portugal and Belgium markets.

Europcar International’s head of digital marketing Gregory Bouchez said, “Europcar has assigned the paid search and display strategy to MediaVest to expand and develop our global activity. MediaVest has driven outstanding performances for Europcar UK in the past few years. Expanding our partnership to a broader set of markets will secure our leadership in a highly competitive digital environment.

“The Europcar teams in France, Belgium, The UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Spain and Portugal will work closely with the local MediaVest teams to combine their expertise with international strategy from London to drive our digital efforts to be best in class.”
