The winners of the twenty categories of the GoldenTwits were announced this afternoon on Twitter, with Ricky Gervais, Stephen Fry and LBi London being amongst those who scooped prizes.
Ricky Gervais (@RickyGervais), winner of the celebrity category, said: “This makes up for me narrowly missing out on The Nobel again.”
Prince Charles (@Charles_HRH), winner of the fake celebrity category, said: “One's been crowned King Charles of @GoldenTwits 2012. (No offence taken - it feels good getting one over on Mother)”
Alison Moyet (@AlisonMoyet1), winner of the music category, said: “Proud and delighted! Thank you to @GoldenTwits & all who voted. I'm not dedicating this to my children.They really didn't help. Hurrah!!!”
