Future plc promotes Keith Walker to head of digital for entertainment

Future plc has announced the promotion of Keith Walker to head of digital for the entertainment group, moving from his role of head of audience development.

In his new role, Walker will oversee all digital and mobile initiatives; working closely with Future US and Future Australia, but focussing on the UK.

He said: “This is a fantastic opportunity as digital acceleration is at the core of Future’s strategy. Through marrying the development, commercial and editorial teams, we can deliver products that continually innovate, excite our audiences and provide our partners with the ability to reach an unrivalled number of passionate film and gaming enthusiasts.”

Walker takes up the new role with immediate effect, and will report to Clair Porteous, who was recently appointed head of entertainment group.

Porteous said: “Our internationally famous entertainment brands are already delivering fantastic growth in reach and engagement. As we continue drive and accelerate digital growth in the entertainment group, Keith’s proven experience makes him the perfect candidate to push this agenda forward.”
