Facebook has teamed up with ChildLine to take part in its 'Step Up: Stop Bullying' campaign.

The initiative prepares for the nationwide 'Anti-Bullying Week', and asks users to show their support and spread the word against bullying by interacting with a special application on the Facebook platform.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the problem, with the app also providing users with information on who can help them if they or someone they know are being bullied.

Speaking of their involvement, Facebook commented: "We believe in creating a culture of accountability where people report bullying and stand up for each other, and we also believe in using the power of friends to help stop bullying, whether it takes place in the school playground or online."
