International networking expert to speak at MiNetwork's NW Chapter meeting

MiNetwork has signed up internationally acclaimed speaker and author Christopher Barrat to speak at its forthcoming North West Chapter meeting, taking place in November.

The meeting, which is part of MiNetwork’s calendar of bi-monthly members meetings held in cities across the UK, will see Barrat present a one-hour Networking Skills for Success Masterclass, a session which he recently delivered to an audience of more than 150 marketing professionals at The Marketing Forum, aboard The Aurora.

Barrat is an established and well respected speaker, consultant and author in commercial, management and leadership skills. His knowledge is based on genuine experience gained in positioned such as sales manager, business manager and purchasing director.

The Networking session will give both a structure and process to the art of networking, and in addition will focus on the vital elements of choosing the right context and delivering the right content: The informative and amusing session session will look at:

- Where to network

- The Physics of managing conference type events

- Meeting and greeting new people

- Interpersonal skills on impact

- Getting the right message across

- Leaving people who are boring you

- Following up effectively – the use of social media

The meeting is FREE for all MiNetwork members across the UK to attend and due to the nature of this practical workshop session members are invited to bring along a maximum of two of their agency colleagues who will benefit from the networking workshop.

The Chapter meeting will take place at the Business School, Manchester Metropolitan University, Oxford Road, Manchester from 6pm until 8pm, closing with networking and drinks.
