Manchester-based brand, creative and digital agency, Cube3, is heading back to school as one of many UK agencies taking part in next week’s BIMA D-Day.

Due to take place on Wednesday 10 October, D-Day will bring together over 90 schools, 1800 students and numerous digital professionals from across the UK in a bid to encourage more young people to get involved in the industry.

Cube3’s account director, Kate Astall will represent the agency on the day and will be matched with a local school. Once there Astall will not only meet the students to promote the digital industry and inform them of the career opportunities, she will also assist them with a digital related challenge to be briefed on the day.

“I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with a local school and to encourage their students to take up a career within such a dynamic and exciting industry,” commented Astall.

“Young people need to understand that there are vocational career paths out there for them as well as academic. At Cube3 we are always looking for talented people and so D-Day will be a great opportunity to not only give something back to the community but to also see the future faces of digital.”

Speaking of D-Day chair of BIMA Education Group, Andrew Henning added: “BIMA D-day is about raising awareness of the fantastic opportunities that exist within the UK digital industry. We aim to highlight the variety of career options that are present for young people.”
