It seems #shicklegate won’t go away for Greg Shickle, who was blasted in Kieran Allen’s MEC Media resignation letter which went viral earlier this week.

Amongst other allegations, the ex-employee at the media centre claimed Shickle had taken a young girl to the pub for an interview which ended in ‘sexual relations in the meeting room of the third floor.’

Following the letter, the woman who has worked at MEC for a year, quickly came forward, offering her version of events and support for Shickle.

Shawna Beaudet said, “‘I didn’t sleep with him. I kissed him. It was possibly slightly inappropriate.”

“I had been to the pub with Greg for an informal interview for a job. It was a kiss in the foyer whilst waiting for taxis.”

Speaking on the email, which was sent to every colleague of Allen, she said: “I feel bad for Greg because he’s a good guy. The other things Kieran said in the email are not true. I mean they were just said in jest.”

Shickle also spoke for the first time since the letter went viral on social media sites, confirming he was consulting lawyers and that “you can’t just take an unsubstantiated email from a disgruntled employee and make a comment on it.”
