Music magazine, Q, has announced it is extending its brand across multiple platforms with the launch of an iPad edition.

Due for release on 28 August the iPad edition will draw on the brand’s 25 year heritage to deliver an engaging digital experience for tablet readers. As well as the full magazine content, additional artist interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and video and audio content will be available on the iPad.

The Q iPad edition will be built on publisher Bauer’s proprietary tablet technology, which will allow advertisers to be part of an enhanced experience on the new format.

Rimi Atwal, publishing director at Bauer Media, commented: “I am delighted that a brand as strong and respected as Q is now available on a new platform, giving advertisers a fantastic opportunity to reach passionate music loving consumers through bespoke and compelling content.

“The launch of the Q iPad edition proves Bauer’s commitment to continued investment in digital platforms across their entire portfolio of magazines.”

The magazine’s October issue featuring Muse will be the first iPad edition with subscriptions starting at £2.99. The iPad launch follows the release of Bauer titles Empire – in the US - and Grazia’s iPad editions.
