ESPN signs deal to show SPL and SFL until 2017

Sports broadcaster ESPN has signed a deal with the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and the Irn Bru Scottish Football League for the rights to broadcast matched from next season through to 2017.

The new agreement sees more games than ever before broadcast on the channel. Next season sees a total of 40 live and exclusive matches airing on ESPN, ten more than this season.

Under the deal, 30 Clydesdale Bank Premier League games will be shown on ESPN over the season alongside ten Rangers games from the Irn Bru Scottish Football League, including three home Rangers features.
