Wash Design and Because Studio have worked together to create the branding for the Vintage Guild Weekend, taking place in September at the Preston Guild Festival.

Wayne and Gerardine Hemmingway, the duo behind brands such as Red or Dead and Vintage, are behind the Vintage Guild Weekend and the brief they gave to Wash Design and Because Studio was to create “a distinct look” separate from their Hemmingway Vintage Festival, which takes place in Oxfordshire in August.

With the help of Ozone in Preston, The Vintage Boudoir Lancaster and UCLAN’s fashion department, local people were called upon to create a series of images photographed by Adrian Ray. The objective was to cover as many ‘eras’ as possible within the images to be used across the advertising campaign, website, brochures and site dressing.

Andy Walmsely, creative director at Wash design, commented: “[We created] something very much visually removed from the Hemingway Vintage Festival, as it was felt important for this prestigious Preston event to develop its own strong personality.”
