Web-based charity Shift.ms has unveiled a short film made by creative agency Mother conveying the impact a diagnosis of MS can have. The film, ‘Gallop’ dramatises the early emotional journey of someone coming to grips with the early stages of MS diagnosis through the medium of a love affair.

Rather than focusing on the stats and facts the narrative and love story is used to show the human journey behind the diagnosis. Directed by BAFTA-nominated director Michael Pearce ‘Gallop’ is the story of a man and a woman, both young and attractive caught in the moment of falling in love when the man discovers he has something that is the opposite of the magic he’s feeling – MS.

Aiming to make conversations about MS bigger, Mother used a story everyone could understand, whilst the film is about MS the love story aims to engage a wider audience, as "it’s as much a story about how much you tell someone about yourself when you’re falling in love as about diagnosis".
