Luxury motor yacht manufacturer Fairline Boats has appointed McKenna Townsend to handle its global PR.

Fairline manufactures luxury motor yachts from 38 to 78ft under two distinct ranges – Squadron and Targa. Two new model launches are planned this autumn with high profile events at Plaisance de Cannes, PSP Southampton Boat Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

McKenna Townsend will be working closed with Fairline’s marketing team to develop and implement and PR strategy for the rest of 2012 and into 2013, and will now oversee all activity across the UK, Europe and the US, working alongside Grebstad Hick, Fairline’s Asian PR partner. The aim of the PR campaign will be to enhance the iconic British manufacturers profile worldwide.

Matt McKenna, co-managing director of MTPR, said it was a “great win for McKenna Townsend,” he added: “. Over the last couple of years we’ve expanded our marine portfolio, with many clients benefitting from our wide-ranging experience and second-to-none media contacts in an array of sectors.”

Head of marketing at Fairline Boats, Oliver Winbolt, commented: “We are really pleased to have McKenna Townsend on board.

"We were really impressed with the team’s creativity and enthusiasm and are looking forward to working with them to deliver international campaigns for Fairline.”
