Barrhead Travel appoints Beattie Communications to grow awareness across UK

Travel agency Barrhead Travel has appointed Beattie Communications to handle its UK-wide PR account as it aims to grow awareness of the company outside of Scotland.

The Drum has learned that Beattie Communications won the account, previously held by Glasgow agency The BIG Partnership, as Barrhead Travel aims to grow its customer-base outside of Scotland.

Lorna Woods, managing director of Beattie Communications explained that the agency has been briefed with using its network of offices across the UK to aid the expansion of Barrhead Travel, with the opening of its call centre in Cumbria last month.

The agency is understood to have begun work on the account with immediate effect after its appointment at the end of June.
