Peter Smith appointed marketing manager at Ignite

Marketing agency Ignite has appointed Peter Smith as its new marketing manager. Smith joins Ignite following two years as marketing manager at experimental agency iD Experimental, prior to this he worked in research and marketing for the hospitality industry.

Smith will be responsible for external and internal marketing of the agency and will assist on new business initiatives, following his appointment Ignite will undergo a website refresh. The company will also focus on the implementation of a social media strategy and more external marketing.

Paul Saville, client services director of Ignite, said: “Peter’s appointment couldn’t come at a better time for us. We have been so busy in the last few years and have built up an impressive list of clients but we just haven’t had the chance to shout about it as much as we would like to.

“Peter will be responsible for communicating who we are and what we do for our clients across all marketing and communication platforms.”

Smith commented: “They [Ignite] tend to think outside the box and the scale and execution of their projects is really impressive. However there is still huge scope to build Ignite’s reputation within the marketing industry and beyond.”

He then added that the role would be “challenging but exciting and I can’t wait to get my teeth into it.”
