Random House Children’s Publishers UK and Transworld Publishers have appointed Total Media to handle their digital media buying, meaning that agency now represents 60% of the top 10 UK publishing houses.

Total Media, who also works with Hachette Group, Random House Group and Pan McMillian, will be responsible for managing digital display advertising across consumer sites and social media networks, as well as implementing video seeding campaigns for the publishing houses’ future book launches.

Barry O’Donovan, marketing director at Random House Children’s Publishers UK, said: “We were impressed with Total Media’s in-house digital capabilities and their track record in delivering strong results. We are looking forward to working with the agency to help us create effective and engaging advertising campaigns for our young, technically-savvy audiences.”

Janine Giovanni, marketing director at Transworld Publishers, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Total Media to expand on our current digital presence. Ultimately, we want to create and sustain engaged, online literary communities and drive awareness and traffic to these platforms through paid advertising.”

Jayne Lunnon from Acumen Media Partners continues to manage Random House Children's Publishers UK and Transworld’s offline media.
