An acquisition campaign to promote the role of health visitors to nurses and student nurses has been developed for the Government.

Created by Draftfcb, the campaign aims to support the Government’s commitment to recruit an extra 4,200 full-time health visitors in the next three years.

The campaign, which features the end-line ‘A positive start for ever family’ aims to raise the status of health visitors amongst health professionals, with an initial acquisition DM pack being sent out, in the shape of baby.

This will encourage sign up and registration online or through a dedicated phone-line, or through a registration coupon, sent to around 300,000 current nurses.

The pack will be followed up an email to those who register, alongside a DM pack which includes a pocket-sized handbook which defines the health visitor role.

Outdoor and local press in the South Central SHA region, alongside inserts and adverts within national nursing publications, will also run, as will a full CRM retention programme.
