As part of the Arnold Clark Scottish Schools Challenge an app, created by three teenagers, has been released.

‘Freewheelin’, a game that was devised by a team of three from Earlston High School, and developed by Chunk Games in Glasgow, has been released.

The app was created as part of a competition that challenged high schools throughout Scotland to devise an original game design.

The design was then taken and turned into the racing game that has been made available on both iOS and Android platforms.

Over 700 entries were received, with a selection of 10 nominees being selected at the end of 2011. The winning school also received a minibus for the next two years, and £5,000 to spend on computers.
