Motaquote and TomTom have worked with TheAgency to develop a new motor insurance brand dubbed Fair Pay Insurance.

The new brand will allocate premiums based on driving ability and behaviour rather than the usual factorss considered by insurers such as postcode, gender, age or vehicle type. The driver's behaviour will be monitored by a TomTom tracker fitted in their car.

After being appointed in December 2011, TheAgency came up with the name and the branding.

Nigel Lombard, managing director of Fair Pay Insurance, said: "We have built a unique insurance product in partnership with one of the leading GPS technology firms in the world. So it was imperative to get the name, brand and consumer message right."

TheAgency partner Saman Mansourpour added: "Fair Pay has a completely unique proposition and brand."
