Lynx Attract to sponsor Edinburgh giant pandas during mating season
The giant pandas at Edinburgh Zoo, Tian Tian and Yang Guang, will be sponsored by Lynx Attract during their mating season, it has been revealed today.
The two pandas are on loan to the UK from China for ten years, and if Tian Tian conceives it will be the first time a panda is born in the UK.
Since Lynx’s marketing is based on how it drives the opposite sex wild, the sponsorship by the Lynx Attract ‘For Him’ & ‘For Her’ deodorant hopes to lead to ‘some hanky-panky panda action’ and panda babies– although Tian Tian and Yang Guang will not actually be sprayed with the scent. However, scent does play an important part in the panda mating process.
Kieran Danaher, Lynx Attract brand manager, said: “With the launch of Lynx Attract ‘For Him’ & ‘For Her’ we’ve effectively doubled the power of the Lynx Effect - it’s the perfect time to partner with Edinburgh Zoo and use our attraction know-how to help out with panda mating season.”
