An astonishingly detailed rulebook offering step by step instructions for Facebook employees policing ‘sex and nudity’, ‘hate’ and ‘graphic’ content (amongst others) has been leaked by a disgruntled Moroccan worker.

The so called ‘cheat sheet’ was given to oDesk, a third party content moderation firm, by Facebook, and leaves nothing to the imagination.

Off limits content includes urine, faeces, vomit, semen and oddly, ear wax whilst mothers breastfeeding without clothes are also barred.

Others to fall foul of Google’s censors include violent speech such as “I love hearing skulls crack” and images of drunk and unconscious people.

Strangely some graphic content is sanctioned by Google’s censors, these include crushed heads, videos of schoolyard brawls and foreplay.

In a statement Facebook said: “In an effort to quickly and efficiently process the millions of reports we receive every day, we have found it helpful to contract third parties to provide precursory classification of a small proportion of reported content.

“These contractors are subject to rigorous quality controls and we have implemented several layers of safeguards to protect the data of those using our service.”
