BT is to unveil a new campaign on 14 January, featuring the son from the “Adam and Jane” series of ads moving into a student flat.

The campaign will begin with the son, Joe, moving into a flat with new characters Simon and Anna, played by BAFTA winner, Daniel Rigby, and TV and film actress Rebecca Night, respectively. The campaign will continue, showing the adventures of the three and how they use BT Infinity broadband.

David James, marketing director for consumer at BT Retail, said: “Adam and Jane is a much loved and followed campaign, however the story is evolving and fans will be relieved to hear that we aren’t saying ‘goodbye’ to all the characters. The new sitcom style adverts have a very different look and feel and we hope that people will love our new stars Joe, Simon and Anna – the new flatmates.”

In the run up to the advert launch on Saturday during the ‘Wild at Heart’ break and then again within the ‘Dancing on Ice’ break, three videos have been released online to introduce the characters. Each character will also have their own avatar to extend the character’s lives outside of the advertising.

The TV campaign will be supported by outdoor advertising from 9 January and cinema screenings of the adverts will run from 10 February.

Jane will make guest appearances as part of the campaign, created by AMV, Maxus, Ogilvy, LBI and Fishburn Hedges.
