Cycling Scotland wins Grand Prix at UK Event Awards
Cycling Scotland rode off with the Grand Prix at last night's UK Event Awards at Wembley Stadium.
The organisation scooped the top accolade for its Pedal for Scotland cycle race, which also won the award for Best Sports Event.
Chairman of the judging panel, Paul O’Neill of Guinness World Records, awarded Sparklestreet Creative Adventures his personal award for the Adidas Original Street Party which took place on Coronation Street.
More than 300 event professionals from all over the UK were in attendance at the awards. They were entertained by football act Global Freestyle, Rat Pack-inspired singer Paul Stone and a successful attempt to break a world record for the largest linked cheers.
