The new brand identity for the Birmingham Publicity Association has now been revealed.

The organisation, formerly known as the Publicity Association of Central England (PACE), invited West Midlands designers to create its new look as part of its rebrand.

Graeme Longstaff's design (pictured) was announced as the winner at today's PACE Christmas Lunch at Villa Park - the last PACE bash before the organisation takes on its new name.

His work was chosen following a public vote and a judging session headed by PACE chairman Steve Price.

Price said: "We are overwhelmed by the effort put in from all those who entered the competition and are seriously impressed with the creativity and talent demonstrated. It was a tough competition, and I know the judges found it hard choosing just one winner.

"We're delighted with our new brand identity. Graeme really managed to fulfil the brief in an imaginative and creative way which captures the spirit of the Birmingham Publicity Association."

The judging session was chaired by Steve Price and Lucy Fletcher (vice chairman). The panel consisted of:

Dean Lovett, CEO of McCann Birmingham (ex-PACE president)

Jon Harrison, managing partner of Unsuitable/One Black Bear

Paul Connop, owner of Liberty Creative (designer of the PACE identity)
