International food brand Angel Camacho has brought in Public to deliver a range of communications services, including consumer PR, social media and website design.

The South Yorkshire-based agency has developed a campaign entitled ‘Savour our Flavour of Spain’, which focused on turning the new website into an online hub to promote the brand’s olive and other products.

Kirsten Howell,s head of PR for Public, commented: “The website will encourage consumers to reminisce about their holidays or visits to Spain and engage them to cook up authentic Spanish tapas and dishes for family and friends. Using Facebook and Twitter activities, teaming up with food bloggers and creating offline media coverage, visitors to www.fragata.co.uk will generate third-party content to boost interest in the brand and products. Only 10 per cent of households in the UK currently purchase olives so there’s huge potential for us to help the brand grow.

“We’re now working on designs for the Fragata website and developing an SEO plan to maximise Fragata’s visibility and consumer touch points online whilst planning a consumer PR and social media campaign to drive consumer demand.”

Jim Conlin, Camacho UK’s sales & marketing director, added: “After several failed attempts to launch a PR programme in the UK, we met up with Public. The initial meeting led to a full briefing meeting when we met with the wider team. We felt very comfortable that Public fully understood what we are trying to achieve and much of their background work prior to our meeting proved that.”
