She Says Scotland is to hold an event entitled ‘Engagement: the battle for your time’ on Thursday 17 November 2011, looking at the concept of engagement in digital and traditional marketing.

Speakers confirmed to date are Leanne Rinning, head of online PR for bigmouthmedia/LBi and Elaine McVicar, deputy creative director of Equator. A third speaker is yet to be confirmed.

Dominique McMullan, the young creative at the Leith Agency who set up the Scottish branch of She Says, said: “The engagement talk is going to be fantastic because we’re looking at a word which everyone uses, but hardly anyone questions what means. We’re going to look at it from social media and PR, user experience and creative perspectives. I’m expecting quite a lively debate!”

The free event will take place at 6.30 for 7pm at SocietyM in Glasgow, and is sponsored by Equator. To book a ticket, see the related links box.
