JBP has appointed former McCann Erickson social media and PR strategist Lyanna Tsakiris to the newly-created role of head of social media.

The move will extend the social media expertise of the PR and Parliamentary Affairs consultancy, with Tsakiris now responsible for overseeing strategy, management and activation of social media activity across the business including PR, stakeholder and parliamentary affairs specialisms.

Lis Anderson, JBP director, said: “We’ve seen the number of clients which we offer social media services to grow significantly in the past 12 months and Lyanna will bring a new edge to our social media proposition.

“It’s an important part of our business and we recognised the need to invest in bringing in an additional experienced practitioner into the team. She has an ideal combination of hands-on experience, skills and personal passion to take our best practices to the next level. We’re delighted to have her on board.”
