Events company Ear to the Ground is opening two winter pop-up bars in Manchester and Liverpool this week.

Manchester's North Pole bar, now in its fourth year, returns to Cathedral Gardens on Thursday 3 November and will stay in the city for 52 days.

The Polar Bar will open in Liverpool One for the first time on Friday and will remain there for 62 days.

The branded bars work in association with Kopparberg, Carlsberg, Illy Coffee, Britvic, WKD, Real Radio, Manchester and Liverpool Confidential, Pickled Walnut and Liverpool One.

Director Steve Smith said: "We have once again poured every effort into making the offering the biggest and best yuletide experience you can have under one roof and are expecting to see 90,000 people through the doors of Polar Bar in Liverpool and 120,000 cross the threshold of Manchester’s North Pole Bar."
