New fitness centre brand Klick Fitness has appointed Brazil to handle the PR for its UK launch following a competitive pitch.

Brazil has also been briefed to handle social media and experiential activity.

Part of international firm Fitness First, Klick Fitness claims to make going to the gym more accessible by being cheaper on the market and not forcing users to have a fixed contract term.

It says it is able to do this by stripping out all the 'extras' offered by gyms such as swimming pool access and saunas.

Jason Worthy, head of central operations at Klick Fitness, said: “We’ve been working extremely hard to get the brand in the right position at a time when money is tight for everyone. Having seen quite a few agencies over the past six months, Brazil crafted a creative launch solution which we truly believe in so we’re looking forward to working with them.”

Richard Watts, associate director at Brazil, added: “We’ll be launching the regional centres over the coming months while building a national presence through proactive PR and social activities. We’re looking forward to working with them in building a successful business for the brand.”
