Energy UK, which represents Britain's gas and electricity industry in the media, has appointed Fishburn Hedges to raise awareness of the free Home Heat Helpline.

The Fishburn Hedges team will lead a programme of media relations and engagement with intermediary organisations which will roll out across the UK through the autumn and winter, aimed at raising awareness of the service among those eligible for help with their energy costs.

Martin Brown, director at Fishburn Hedges, said: "There are too many people who are eligible for help but are not claiming it. We’re delighted to be working on such an important campaign."

Peter Jenkins, Energy UK’s head of communications and public affairs, said: "We have worked with Fishburn Hedges for a number of years on the Carbon Monoxide – Be Alarmed! campaign and we felt the integrated approach it offers is very well suited to the Home Heat Helpline campaign."
