The Co-operative Young Driver Insurance creates Facebook app with RAPP Edinburgh

The Co-operative Young Driver Insurance has created a new Facebook app, ‘The Big Test’, with RAPP Edinburgh, to allow young drivers to share their driving test celebrations.

Users can upload pictures or videos, with entries ranked by other users, with the chance of winning a weekly prize of a sat nav or the grand prize of a year’s free Young Driver Insurance.

RAPP worked with the developers of a free application called Igniter to allow iOS (iPhone and iPad) users to upload entries to Facebook through the app. RAPP worked with MediaCom North on the campaign, who are currently moderating The Co-operative Insurance Facebook page. Seeding was by Unrulymedia.

The campaign’s Twitter hashtag - #thebigtest - feeds directly into the app and encourages young drivers to share advice and support.

Rebecca Heaney, managing director of RAPP said: “With The Big Test, RAPP used an innovative cloud-based solution to tackle mobile compatibility issues. It’s another example of how we’re continually looking to break new ground in the digital space.”
