Digital marketing agency Headland Multimedia has announced that it has acquired Covent Garden-based web company Odin Solutions for an undisclosed sum.

Headland will operate out of Odin Solutions’ former offices and has employed all five members of its team, including the company’s founder and managing director, Isabel Allen, who will continue to manage the operation under the Headland banner.

Ken Heptonstall, Headland’s managing director (pictured with Allen), said: “I’ve known Isabel for several years, having worked together on a large scale project to redesign Nottingham Trent University’s website. The Odin Solutions team has a different, complementary set of core skills to Headland’s, which fits perfectly with our business plan for growth.

“Headland’s core skills are in web design, e-commerce and content management systems like the widely used Ektron and Umbraco, and most of our clients require the full start to finish process followed by search engine optimisation, maintenance and social marketing on Facebook and Twitter.

“Acquiring Odin Solutions means that we can widen our business opportunities by offering additional programming languages such as Java; content management systems such as Enterprise and Percussion; and also training which Odin has specialised in for a number of years. It also brings a great set of new clients to the Headland portfolio including The Natural History Museum, Rentokil Initial and The University of London.”
