Mobile advertising agency Fetch Media has acquired Lucidity Mobile, which will see the exit of founders David Fieldhouse and David Phillipson.

Fieldhouse and Phillipson will leave the business they started two years ago to concentrate on their other mobile technology businesses Linking Mobile and AD-X.

Lucidity Mobile will continued under the Fetch Media banner, with clients such as Cancer Research, Harrods and Carlsberg.

James Connelly, managing director of Fetch Media, said: “Lucidity Mobile is a company we know well and respect very much, so the opportunity to be able to bring its expertise and client portfolio under the Fetch umbrella is a fantastic opportunity for our business.

“Consolidation is symptom of any maturing market place and as an independent; we’re looking to build a business which is the ‘come to agency’ for mobile advertising and we see the acquisition of great businesses like Lucidity as being a contribution to this strategy.”

David Fieldhouse, added: “We are proud of the award winning mobile campaigns we have worked on for clients and we know Fetch Media will continue this tradition going forward. Fetch has an excellent reputation for results and innovation and we look forward to seeing great results from the acquisition. We will now be focussing on growing our mobile technology businesses (Linking Mobile and AD-X) over the coming years.”
