After a tough judging session in Manchester, the nominations for this year's MiAwards are now live online and tickets for what promises to be an awards dinner to remember are going fast.

MiAwards now in its third year attracted a record number of entries this year with more than 60 different UK-based marketing services agencies entering reports for the judging panel to consider.

For the first time the MiAwards judging panel combined clientside and agencyside marketers including Richard Hayes of Warburtons, Nick Button of Red Letter Days, Angus Morrison of the Royal Mail, Sophie Robinson of Metro Newspapers, Brian Child of Brain Child Marketing, Brian Rees of the IF Agency and former CEO of DDB Peter Croome.

Leading the list of nominations are IAS B2B Marketing with ten nominations, Multiply with nine nominations, BJL with seven nominations, 77PR with five nominations and Freestyle Interactive with three nominations.

Agencies nominated for Agency of the Year accolades include TBWA\Manchester, Chapter, Clock Creative, Atom 42, 9xb, Shout Digital, Code Computerlove, Orange Bus, Epiphany Solutions, MadeByPi, Rippleffect, CTI Digital, Ambition, Refinery, Liquid, The IF Agency, BDB, Franklyn Rae, Peppermint PR, Finn PR, Brouha Marketing, Nunwood, Morris Hargreaves McIntyre, Pitch Consultants, Fresh Group, MEC Manchester, SA Group, Feather Brooksbank and Hangar Seven.

This year's MiAwards also saw a number of marketing strategy categories introduced for the first time ranging from Best Social Media Campaign to Best Retail Marketing Strategy. Agencies nominated in the strategic categories include Delineo, 1000heads, Dewynters, Intermarketing, Photolink, So Creative, Circle Research, Base One, Forever Creative, Ahoy, Thinking Juice, Radiator PR, McCann Manchester, Lexis PR, NHS Blood and Transplant, Principles, Chocolate Communications, Origin, Red C, Carole Bull, Cognition, Realtime:UK, Finn PR, Cube 3 and Material.

Speaking of the MiAwards, Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork, said: "The entry level this year was fantastic and all the judges agreed that the standard of entries was high across most of the categories. The awards in November promises to be a great night and the ideal time for MiNetwork members to get together to share their success and get to know each other even better. We also have a few surprises up our sleeves to make sure that MiAwards is the one awards of the year that everyone remembers."
