Advertising house M&C Saatchi has grown its revenues this year by 23% to £71.9m between 30 June to 21 September, it has announced.

In reporting its interim financial figures, the agency has said that its revenue rose from £58.2m last year, to £71.9m this year, with like-for-like revenue up by 21%. This mean an operating profit rise of 22% to £7.6m and pre-tax profit growth of 24% to £7.7m.

David Kershaw, chief executive of M&C Saatchi, commented: "The results for the period show significant progress. Trading has been strong in a tough market. We experienced good growth in our UK and other European businesses. The Asia and Australasia region had a more challenging half but we are pleased that our African and American operations are all moving towards profit. Revenue was 23% up on the same period last year and profit before tax increased 24%.

"The network is now in place and the new offices are all on course to be profitable by the end of the year. We have more multi-national clients as well as rolling out our higher growth companies. We are confident about our progress but conscious of any macro effects beyond our control in 2012. We remain vigilant about costs and maintaining our strong balance sheet."

The agency highlighted new projects with clients such as Vertu, Google, Siemens, Lenovo and Pernod Ricard, while maintaining its body of ‘regional international business’ for its revenue drive.
